YehLiu Geopark
One of the premier destinations in northern Taiwan, Yehliu Geopark is home to a number of unique geological formations including the iconic Queen's Head.

Besides the Queen's Head, other remarkable formations include Sea Candles, Fairy Shoe, Ginger Rocks, Elephant Rock, Ice Cream Rock, Kissing Rock, and Princess' Head.

Yangmingshan National Park
Origins from millions of years ago, subterranean movements caused a massive collision between the Philippines oceanic plate and the Eurasian continental plate. The resulting pressure spawned violent volcanic activity and lifted the Eurasian plate.

A mountain-top flatland park, Qingtiangang provides amazing views of Yangmingshan National Park.

During the Japanese occupation, the area was established as a ranch for cattle to graze. The park is still home to cows and other wildlife.

This area of Yangmingshan is very easily shrouded in clouds due to its elevation.

Xiaoyoukeng Recreation Area
A post-volcanic geological park, Xiaoyoukeng is located on Mt. Qixing's northwestern corner, located approximately 805 metres above sea level.

The area is known for fumaroles (mountain-side sulphur gas exhaust), hot springs, sulphur crystals.
