After a long time of coastal erosion, the soft parts are gone, leaving the hard compounds that look like ditches. Every year from March to May, the reef surface is constantly hit by the wave brought by the northeast monsoon, which creates a growing environment for algae. The green reef is actually a result of algal mats growing on the reef. This dreamlike scenery draws tens of thousands visitors every year to capture its mesmerizing beauty.
