Every year from March to May, the reef surface is constantly hit by the wave brought by the northeast monsoon, which creates a growing environment for algae. The green reef is actually a result of algal mats growing on the reef. This dreamlike scenery draws tens of thousands visitors every year to capture its mesmerizing beauty.
